Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's military parents was based in Louisiana as young as eighteen years old. She was the winner of an audition competition by singing the song Patsy Montana's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart. Decker was moving to Georgia when she was 15. After she began writing, she made frequent visits to Nashville as well as visited music studios and record labels with the hope of securing a contract. In 1997, she'd just turned 17 years old when she was approached by a Big Yellow Dog Records rep saw her. He began to sell her songs and music to various musicians and record companies.
